This Valentine’s Day I was fortunate enough to have my sis and friend, Christine to keep me company while my hubby is away. We made no reservations whatsoever not even for dinner. Of course we did the early bird dinner. I mean after all it was Valentine’s Day. BUT at least we got to eat at Bar Pitti. YUMMY. You can say we just went with the flow…flow of vino and champagne that is.
Imagine our surprise when we walked into the Bubble Lounge filled with couples. (Being sarcastic here). We went in reluctantly but we were pleasantly surprised.
It ended up being very entertaining. We were shown magic tricks by Marco the Magician and got to catch the Burlesque shows. So sometimes the best times in life are those that are not planned even on Valentine’s Day.
I absolutely love collecting ornaments, particularly from different places of travel. It’s really cool to find old and antique ornaments at flea markets, garage sales, antique shops or even in grandma’s garage. I even have newer collections from Target and Macy’s. Going to Macy’s holiday lane is so much fun for me and gets me into the holiday spirit. As a matter of fact, this was the first year I got my picture taken with Santa Claus at Macy’s.
Don’t forget that ornaments make fantastic gifts as well. Some great Christmas decorations and ornaments to collect and give as presents are from designers, Annalee and Kurt S. Alder. You can find good deals and stock at TJ-Maxx or Marshalls.
